At Lean On Me Companion Care we offer a comprehensive suite of services tailored to enrich the lives of the elderly. Our carefully chosen companions provide much more than mere assistance; they bring a sense of warmth, friendship, and emotional support that is crucial for the well-being of seniors. Our services are designed to provide the assistance needed while creating a loving relationship. We understand the importance of social interaction, mental stimulation and quality care. Our personalized approach ensures that each person feels valued, respected, and that their physical needs are met. Our commitment lies in creating an atmosphere of care and respect, where every senior can thrive surrounded by warmth and kindness.

It can be confusing to manage medications, making sure they are taken and on time. We gladly help keep track and administer medications prescribed by the doctor.

We can help with post operative care, care following hospitalization, dressing changes, diabetic Glucose Monitor changes, help to put on or removal of compression stockings, etc.

Our team regularly performs light housekeeping tasks like dusting, sweeping, garbage removal, dishes, laundry, and wiping counters. We also work with a reputable cleaning service if an initial deep clean is required.

It can be helpful to have another set of ears for medical appointments. We can take notes, get prescriptions filled, and report to loved ones to help make these visits stress free.

Going to a grocery store and helping our clients pick out the foods they like is a service we love to provide. We can also do the shopping, just let us know what is needed.

We learn what works best for each client with this disease, what triggers to avoid, what helps alleviate stress and anxiety, and what we can do to support them best. Patience and understanding are priorities as we lovingly walk this journey with them.

Throughout our visits and whatever tasks we are helping with, we will be building a meaningful relationship. When we are not helping with physical tasks, we love to sit and chat, listen to stories, do crafts, puzzles, take walks, have a coffee, or head out on an outing. We want to become friends and thoroughly enjoy our time together.

Tasks such as teeth or denture care, dressing, bathing, assistance with hair and makeup, shaving, basic nail care, toileting are all things that we help out with.

We enjoy driving our clients to appointments, taking them shopping, or just taking them for a drive which allows them to regain some independence, freedom, and enjoyment.

We encourage active living by assisting with armchair exercises and stretches, going outside or to the mall for a walk, accompanying clients to organized activities, and coming up with our own fun games.

We assist with transfers in and out of bed, extra care while walking, wheelchair assistance, or more complex transfers using a mechanical or track lift. We will help to keep you mobile.
